The basics
What is Altair?
A WordPress theme for business websites (Altair Lite, free) and a plugin with modules that help those sites get found, chosen and paid (Altair Pro).
Who is it for?
Companies, professional services, restaurants, clinics, real estate agencies, online stores, and the freelancers and agencies who build their sites.
Who makes Altair?
HostDron, a web hosting company based in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. The same team builds the theme, builds Pro and answers support.
Altair Lite
Is Altair Lite really free?
Yes. It’s GPL-licensed and will be in the WordPress.org theme directory. Use it on as many sites as you want.
Do I need Pro?
No. Lite works on its own. Pro is for businesses that want Google and AI to recommend them, and to measure the leads their site brings.
Can I remove the “Made with Altair” credit?
Yes. It’s on by default and you can turn it off in the Customizer.
Pricing and licenses
How much does Altair Pro cost?
Pro is $79 a year for 3 sites, Business $149 for 10 sites and Agency $299 for 1,000 sites. Founding members pay 40% less.
Why is the renewal the same price?
Because a surprise at renewal is a bad way to treat a customer. While your plan stays active, it renews at the price you first paid.
What is a founding member?
One of the first 500 people on the waitlist who buy at launch. You keep 40% off every plan for as long as your subscription stays active.
Is there a lifetime license?
Only for founders, limited to 150 licenses: Pro $249, Business $449 and Agency $799.
What counts as a site?
One production domain where the license is active. Local and staging copies don’t count, and you can move a license between sites.
What happens if I don’t renew?
Altair Pro keeps working on your sites, but updates, new modules, cloud services and support stop until you renew.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Ask within 30 days and we refund the full amount. See the Refund Policy.
Is Pro included with HostDron hosting?
Yes. If you host with HostDron, Altair Pro is included at no extra cost.
Compatibility
Does it work with Elementor and WooCommerce?
Yes. Altair works with the block editor, Elementor (including global colors) and WooCommerce.
Will Pro replace my SEO plugin?
No. Pro completes what Yoast SEO, Rank Math or All in One SEO publish, and never duplicates it.
What are the requirements?
WordPress 6.6 or later and PHP 8.1 or later. Altair is tested up to WordPress 7.1.
I already have a website. Can I switch?
Yes, if it runs on WordPress. Your pages, posts and products stay where they are. You install Altair, choose a profile and rebuild the look with the ready-made sections.
Is it translation-ready?
Yes. English, Spanish and Portuguese are included, and you can translate it into any language.
Support and launch
How does support work?
By email, from the team that builds Altair, in English, Spanish or Portuguese. Response times depend on your plan; see the Support Policy.
When does Pro launch?
Early 2027. The waitlist gets early access and the founder price first.
How soon will I see results?
Speed improves the day you switch. Google and AI assistants pick up your business profile as they revisit your site, usually within a few weeks. We won’t promise rankings, because nobody honest can.
